“Night at the Races” (Posted 2/28/08)
Our annual “Night at the Races” fundraising event was held Saturday February 2. Over 200 people attended and we believe it was the "best ever." Our thanks to all who participated and made this event such a success!

Staff Training in Person-Centered Care
(Revised 7/2/07)
Person-centered care focuses on creating ‘a culture of aging that is life-affirming, satisfying, humane, and meaningful.’ These ideas are in harmony with Marian Hall’s mission to provide the highest quality care possible, while respecting the dignity of our residents and helping them remain as independent as possible.

In early November 2006, Sister Marian Sgriccia and Kate Guay attended a conference in Chicago that certified them to train others in this excellent approach. Since early 2007 they have been helping Marian Hall staff members understand its concepts and build a culture of person-centered care.
