Sister Marian, a native of Clymer, Pennsylvania (Indiana County), joined the School Sisters of Saint Francis in 1966. After spending her early career in child-care and education, including ten years as an elementary school principal, Sister Marian attended nursing school and received her RN degree.

She has been the Administrator at Marian Hall Home since 2000.
